Decided to stop by the Oakland City Council swearing-in to see Rebecca Kaplan sworn and generally see the scene. Its in council chambers and there is a keyboardist playing George Michael's Never Gonna Love Agaib really slowly. Rebecca is wearing jeans, undeterred by the moment.
We will see what our mayor has to say today, assuming he can be bothered.
