If You Thought Pork Roll Sounded Gross

For those of you who think the regional/state specialty of Taylor Ham is wierd and stomach-turning, then maybe you would enjoy the Massachusetts' classic Bread in a Can. My hubbis recalls this from his youth, and to rival my cravings, has threatened to order it from the internets.

Stay tuned for information about our upcoming pork roll and brown bread party....

in england, a land famed for its cuisine, there is such a thing as breakfast in a can, which includes brown bread, beans, sausage and eggs! in a can!

Re: Brown bread. You open both ends of the can, push it out (sort of like cranberry sauce) and slice it. But then, you have to toast it or brown it, preferably on top of a coal burning stove, but an iron skillet will do. Beans (not mixed with anything else except a little ketchup) go on the side. What else do you need on Sunday night? -MIL
